Sharla Mize Therapy

For many years, I worked extensively with individuals healing from attachment wounds, developmental trauma, and the lasting effects of what is often called the mother wound. Through that work, I witnessed how early relationships shape our sense of self, our ability to trust, our relationships with others, and the stories we carry about our worth.

My clinical approach was informed by attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and other trauma-informed modalities. I helped clients understand and heal patterns such as people-pleasing, perfectionism, chronic self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, difficulty setting boundaries, and the painful feeling of never quite being enough.

My Services

For individual therapy, my primary focus is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which helps the brain and nervous system process difficult memories without having to relive them. I also a Mother Wound Healing Group. This is a six-week virtual group for women ready to explore how early relationships still shape who they believe they are.
